Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist Certified – OR position at CHRISTUS Surgical Hospital plays an essential role in the healthcare team within our Operating Room (OR). This vital role ensures optimal patient care through meticulous assistance during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile environment and providing necessary instruments to the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after operations.
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields according to established protocols.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
- Ensure the surgical environment meets all safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist within 180 days of employment is required.
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
