Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for supporting surgical operations by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team. This role involves preparing surgical instruments, maintaining asepsis, and providing critical assistance during procedures. The Surgical Technologist contributes to high-quality patient care in a collaborative and dynamic setting at Windham Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the surgical area is sterile and prepared for operations.
- Assist in the setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team during procedures by handing instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
- Participate in patient care activities before and after surgery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical technology or operating room (OR) work.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with medical professionals.
