Job Summary
MercyOne is looking for a Surgical Technologist (CST) to become part of their Operating Room team in West Des Moines, Iowa. The individual will play a crucial role in preparing the Operating Room, ensuring sterility during surgical procedures, and participating as a scrub tech during general and specialty surgeries. This position embodies MercyOne’s commitment to delivering exceptional surgical care throughout the Des Moines metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operating Room for surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgeries.
- Assist in scrubbing for various general and specialty surgical cases, potentially serving as a 2nd to 4th scrub.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient safety and care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Previous experience in an Operating Room setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
