Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist at Flagler Hospital’s Main OR is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care and embracing innovation in surgical settings. The role involves critical responsibilities during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the operating surgeon by providing necessary surgical instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
- Recognize and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and prepared prior to surgery.
- Help in transferring patients and positioning them safely on the operating table.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining the operating room and equipment.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech Program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Certification as a Scrub Technician is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
