Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room at Mercy Hospital NWA plays a crucial role in supporting surgical teams by managing the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for surgical procedures. This position works directly with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care throughout the surgical process, contributing to successful outcomes and overall patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations.
  • Ensure the availability of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Coordinate patient care with relevant team members before, during, and after surgery.
  • Participate in postoperative care and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a surgical technology program.
  • Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
  • Experience in an operating room setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
