Job Summary
SCA Health is looking to recruit a dedicated Non-Certified Surgical Technologist who will be responsible for assisting in ophthalmology, gynecology (GYN), and gastrointestinal (GI) surgical procedures. This full-time position requires flexibility as the individual will rotate between the Operating Room (OR) and GI departments, playing a crucial role in ensuring prompt turnover and the safety of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures across ophthalmology, GYN, and GI departments.
- Maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
- Prepare and organize instruments and supplies needed for operations.
- Support efficient transitions between surgeries to optimize operating room utilization.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols to protect patient wellbeing.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred, though certifications are not mandatory.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with surgical teams.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to patient care and safety.
