Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room, ensuring that all surgical instruments and supplies are properly prepared and maintained according to sterilization standards. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the surgical team to provide optimal care for patients during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for operations.
- Ensure all items meet necessary sterilization guidelines.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and sterile environment.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures and facilitating patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (e.g., Tech II or similar credentials).
- Ability to assess patient needs and operate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of proper sterilization methods and safety processes.
