Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting surgical teams before, during, and after procedures. This position involves a focus on maintaining a sterile environment and supporting various surgical operations while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment.
- Ensure that surgical instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
- Support the surgical team by providing necessary tools and instruments during procedures.
- Monitor the patient’s condition and assist in maintaining their safety throughout the surgery.
- Participate in the decision-making process regarding surgical procedure protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
