Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring a high standard of patient care by applying aseptic and sterile techniques. This position emphasizes integrity, respect, and a patient-centered approach in daily responsibilities while supporting surgical procedures and collaborating efficiently with medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
- Maintain aseptic conditions during surgical operations to protect patients from infection.
- Participate actively in the surgical procedure, providing support and assistance to surgeons and nurses as needed.
- Follow established protocols for safe practices in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or a formal program equivalent.
- Prior experience as a surgical technician is preferred, showcasing the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Strong understanding of medical asepsis and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential in a clinical setting.
