Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for the role of Surgical Technologist OR based in Eastern, Kentucky, 41622. This position requires a skilled professional to support the surgical team in providing exceptional care to patients during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are ready for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop a comprehensive plan of care based on patient needs and positioning.
- Monitor the sterile field and assist in anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the patient throughout the procedure.
- Handle surgical instruments and ensure their proper sterilization and inventory control.
- Provide timely and precise assistance to both patients and physicians during surgical interventions.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
