Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the surgical team by facilitating the smooth operation of the operating room. This individual is responsible for preparing the surgical environment, ensuring that all instruments are sterilized, and providing assistance to the surgical staff throughout procedures. The primary focus is on maintaining safety and sterility for patients during surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials as needed.
- Monitor patient safety and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
- Handle various surgical tools and equipment efficiently.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of surgical procedures and instruments.
- Experience in maintaining sterility and safety in medical environments.
