Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in the surgical process by preparing and organizing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and providing assistance to the surgical team. This position is vital for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room prior to and during surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and ensure the readiness of surgical instruments and tools.
- Support the surgical team by providing necessary tools and equipment during operations.
- Ensure patient safety and uphold sterile environments throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- A degree or certification in surgical technology is typically required.
- Experience in a surgical environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
