Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting surgical teams during procedures. This position involves the preparation of the operating environment, ensuring all surgical instruments are sterilized and ready for use, and supporting the medical staff to guarantee a seamless surgical experience. Ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment are fundamental aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team throughout the procedure.
- Ensure and uphold patient safety standards.
- Maintain a sterile field and handle surgical tools properly.
Qualifications
- Experience in a surgical or clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique.
- Certification or training as a Surgical Technologist may be required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
