Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR role is pivotal in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating environment, ensuring all instruments are sterile, and assisting the surgical team throughout the operation. This position is based in Bethesda, Maryland, and requires a commitment to patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring that all equipment is ready and functional.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and standards during all surgical operations.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating their needs and responding efficiently throughout the procedure.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Experience in an operating room setting is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
