Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist OR is integral to the healthcare team, primarily responsible for facilitating surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile environments within the operating room. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical processes and adherence to safety standards to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team by providing necessary items during operations, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor sterilization protocols and adhere to fire safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess and address patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
- Complete required documentation and maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
Qualifications
- Completion of Surgical Technologist program, or equivalent training.
- Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or required.
- Proven knowledge of surgical processes and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively support the surgical team.
- Ability to operate specialized surgical equipment and instruments.
