Job Summary
The role of a Surgical Technologist is essential in the operating room, contributing significantly to patient care by working alongside a team of medical professionals. This position is based in New Haven, Connecticut, and requires an onsite work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams in preparing for operations by ensuring the availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique and uphold the standards of sterile environments throughout surgical procedures.
- Provide support to surgeons and nurses during procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in the organization of surgical services and contribute to a culture of integrity and respect.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or an equivalent formal training program.
- Experience in a surgical operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and respect for all individuals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team.
