Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in the operating room by providing essential support to the surgical team. This position involves preparing and organizing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring a safe environment for patients during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Support the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and tools during operations.
- Maintain a sterile environment to promote patient safety and prevent infections.
- Monitor patient conditions and assist in ensuring their safety throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Certification or training as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Experience in an operating room setting is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and surgical instruments.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
