Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by supporting surgical teams with essential services in various surgical specialties. This position is located in Mooresville, North Carolina, and requires on-site engagement across multiple shifts. The Surgical Technologist is instrumental in providing quality care to patients and their families, ensuring a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a sterile operating field to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies before procedures.
- Label and manage laboratory specimens for processing appropriately.
- Assist surgeons and registered nurses (RNs) during operations and other medical procedures.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and providing necessary assistance.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with surgical teams and patients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
