Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist: OR Setup & Sterile Processing is an essential role focused on supporting the operating room team. This position requires effective collaboration with nursing staff and physicians to maintain sterile conditions throughout surgical procedures, ensuring both patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment during operations.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments and equipment required for surgeries.
- Implement proper patient positioning techniques prior to procedures.
- Ensure efficient OR turnover between surgical cases.
- Work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to comply with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of sterile processing and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
