Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech – CST / ST position in Pittsburg, California, is designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, patient-centered setting. This role primarily focuses on assisting medical teams in the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment and the availability of necessary instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes are set according to established protocols.
- Assist surgical teams by providing necessary instruments during operations.
- Adhere to strict safety and cleanliness standards to ensure patient well-being.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with team members.
- Participate in the documentation of surgical procedures and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
- Experience working in an operating room environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and the role of the surgical technologist.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
