Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring that all necessary instruments and equipment are prepared and meet appropriate sterilization standards. This position involves collaborating with various healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and enhance the overall surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies for surgical operations.
- Adhere to fire safety protocols and ensure compliance with sterilization criteria.
- Assist in assessing patient needs and provide support to surgical teams during procedures.
- Effectively interact with patient care providers to facilitate optimal surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Tech II) is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of sterilization processes and equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
