Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist PDm – OR General Surgery position in Manchester, Connecticut, is crucial for ensuring a smooth surgical process in the operating room. This role involves working directly with surgical teams, requiring certification from a nationally recognized Surgical Technology program and expertise in the field. The technologist serves as an essential support for the surgical staff, ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are available and prepared for procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgeries.
- Prepare and organize the operating room with the required surgical instruments.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and assist with procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Possession of a Surgical Technologist Certification (CST or TS-C) from a recognized national agency.
- Prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and standards.
