Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist, Per Diem – OR (East Bay) role involves supporting surgical teams across multiple UCSF Medical Center locations. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficient preparation and management of surgical supplies and instruments required for various procedures, including surgeries at Children’s Hospital Oakland and additional locations in Walnut Creek.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the organization and readiness of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Support surgical teams before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety standards in the operating room.
- Participate actively in patient care team activities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a surgical environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
