Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the surgical team by assisting in various procedures. This includes the essential duties of setting up the operating room, handling surgical instruments, and upholding a sterile environment throughout surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Manage and organize surgical instruments effectively.
- Maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during operations.
- Ensure the functionality of surgical equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Military Surgical Assistant or LPN.
- Completion of a recognized Surgical Technologist training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by the date of hire.
