Job Summary
The System Safety Engineer is responsible for assessing environmental, safety, and occupational health (ESOH) risks while preparing safety-related documentation for the satellite communications systems used by the Space Force. This position involves close collaboration with contractors and government entities to guarantee adherence to safety regulations and achieve space flight worthiness certifications.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate ESOH risks associated with Space Force satellite communications systems.
- Prepare comprehensive safety documentation to support system assessments.
- Collaborate with contractors and governmental stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in obtaining space flight worthiness certifications for satellite systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience in systems engineering, including at least one year focused on system safety.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong skills in technical documentation and effective stakeholder coordination.
