The role of the System Safety Engineer involves assessing Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) risks, developing safety documentation, and aiding in the Space Flight Worthiness certification for military satellite communication systems. This position requires collaboration with both government teams and contractors to conduct safety risk evaluations and ensure adherence to Space Force standards. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of four years of experience in systems engineering, and at least one year in system safety engineering. The ability to secure and retain a Secret security clearance is an essential requirement.
