Job Summary
The role entails preparing the operating room and ensuring the maintenance of a sterile environment while assisting during surgical procedures. The individual will provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment as demanded by the surgical team, while adhering to strict aseptic and infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery.
- Provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgical team.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical staff during operations.
- Follow established aseptic and infection prevention standards.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Previous experience as an operating room scrub technician is preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols is necessary.
- Current BLS certification is required.
