Job Summary
American Traveler is in search of a Certified Surgical Technologist for an operating room (OR) position located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role demands a professional with a robust background in various surgical specialties and proficiency in essential certifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and surgical personnel in the OR by preparing necessary instruments and equipment.
- Ensure the operating area is sterile and compliant with safety protocols.
- Participate in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
- Support the surgical team with tasks before, during, and after operations.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and sterilization of instruments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a surgical technologist role in diverse surgical specialties.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from NBSTSA, obtained post-completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A valid state license, if required.
