Provide general animal care and clinical support, including feeding, bathing, restraint, medication administration, sample collection, and assistance with treatments and procedures. Maintain clean, stocked, and sterilized patient-care areas, communicate with clients about admissions and recovery, and enter patient information into hospital systems. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; veterinary technology or animal science coursework or an associate degree from an AVMA-accredited program is preferred. Preferred experience includes at least one year in animal care or a veterinary clinic, along with animal-care knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, physical stamina, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
