Job Summary
The Veterinary Kennel Technician plays a vital role in the care and management of animals within a veterinary facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all animals are kept in a safe, clean, and healthy environment while assisting the veterinary team in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennel areas and ensure a sanitary environment.
- Assist with medical treatments and procedures as directed by veterinarians.
- Support the veterinary staff in maintaining records and inventory.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant veterinary or animal care experience preferred.
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic veterinary care principles is a plus.
