Job Summary
The Veterinary Kennel Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of animals in both hospitalization and boarding settings. This position entails providing daily care, feeding, and vigilant observation of the animals. Additionally, the technician supports the veterinary staff by aiding in animal restraint and maintaining a clean and organized medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and feeding for animals in boarding and hospital settings.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals under care.
- Assist veterinary personnel with animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Ensure cleanliness of medical facilities to uphold hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs.
Qualifications
- Compassionate and dependable with a strong desire to care for animals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting animals of varying sizes.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols and medical guidelines.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
