Job Summary
The X-Ray Technician is responsible for conducting standard radiologic examinations and diagnostic processes while prioritizing patient safety and maintaining equipment functionality. This position also involves providing medical assistance to healthcare professionals during physical examinations, managing drug testing, and supporting various administrative duties to facilitate smooth patient operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine radiologic examinations and diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ensure the safety of patients throughout the examination process.
- Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
- Assist clinicians during physical exams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Support drug testing initiatives as required.
- Handle administrative tasks to promote efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Possession of a state-issued Limited Scope Technician certificate and license.
- At least six months of relevant experience in X-ray imaging and medical assisting.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are essential.
