Job Summary
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT) role is a full-time position integral to providing accurate and timely laboratory test results. The individual will perform complex testing across various medical tests and procedures, contributing significantly to patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results through careful monitoring and quality control measures.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.
- Document and report test results, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret test results and support clinical decision-making.
Qualifications
- Must possess an accredited degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) is required.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
