Job Summary
The Machine Operator II role is essential for overseeing both automatic and semi-automatic machinery operations. This position requires adherence to specified production and process guidelines while actively monitoring equipment performance. The operator will ensure adherence to quality and production benchmarks throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate production machinery to optimize performance, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to quality standards.
- Set up, run, and adjust assembly and filling machines as necessary for smooth operations.
- Safely manage machinery functions, including starting, stopping, and monitoring, while complying with emergency and safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) regulations and uphold safety practices according to organizational requirements.
- Utilize control panels and digital systems to monitor machinery performance effectively.
- Diagnose and address equipment issues, executing minor repairs within the defined protocols.
- Communicate with leadership regarding equipment breakdowns, production complications, or unusual occurrences.
- Keep thorough production records and logs as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Confirm the accuracy of materials and components prior to production and assist in managing inventory in staging areas.
- Conduct cleaning and sanitizing tasks, ensuring the workspace meets safety and regulatory standards.
- Operate Drum-Tote Filling machinery while ensuring product quality aligns with production criteria.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic in a dynamic manufacturing environment and contribute to team training efforts.
- Carry out additional tasks as delegated by management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Proven ability to comprehend and interpret specifications and operational instructions.
- Experience working with manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Capability to troubleshoot issues with manufacturing equipment effectively.
