Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be an integral part of the Epilepsy Program, focusing on providing comprehensive care for patients with epilepsy within a full-time, daytime schedule based in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves working onsite, engaging directly with patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality management of epilepsy-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with epilepsy, including the use of antiseizure medications.
- Conduct and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays to inform treatment decisions.
- Monitor treatment toxicities and adjust medication regimens as necessary.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in neurology or related field, particularly in epilepsy management, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to patient care.
