Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Education for registered nurses (RN) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational framework within the clinical environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of clinical training programs that ensure nurses are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of educational curriculums for clinical staff.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and modify as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs across departments.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and continuous education opportunities for nursing staff.
- Monitor compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in nursing education.
- Provide mentorship and support for nursing educators and clinical preceptors.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; a Master’s degree in Nursing or Education is preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical education or nursing leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and educational methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively evaluate and improve educational programs.
