Job Summary
The role of the Senior Project Engineer in the Water sector focuses on overseeing and managing water infrastructure projects. This includes driving project execution from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water-related engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
- Perform project scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
- Monitor project milestones and variances, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate project meetings and effectively communicate progress and updates to stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the water sector.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment, distribution systems, and hydraulic engineering principles.
- Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
