Job Summary
SWCA Environmental Consultants is inviting applications for the position of Project Level Biologist – Desert Tortoise to join our Natural Resources team located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role entails providing support for a variety of initiatives within the spheres of renewable energy, transmission, infrastructure, and restoration.
Responsibilities
- Support project development and management related to desert tortoise conservation.
- Coordinate field studies and data collection pertaining to the species.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Assist in developing strategies for habitat restoration and enhancement.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in biology, ecology, or a related field.
- Experience working with desert tortoise populations and their habitats.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to desert tortoise conservation.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
