Job Summary
The role of the Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular OR is based at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois. This full-time position is focused on providing high-quality nursing care within the cardiovascular operating room during day shifts. As a member of a dedicated healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in the surgical process, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures while collaborating with surgeons and other team members.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families related to surgical procedures and recovery.
- Maintain a sterile environment and assist in the preparation of the operating room.
- Document patient care and any changes in condition accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois.
- Experience in an operating room setting, particularly in cardiovascular surgery, is preferred.
