Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Saddleback Medical Center plays a critical role in delivering high-quality surgical care. Located in Laguna Hills, CA, this full-time position involves variable shifts of 12 hours, from 0630 to 1900. The RN will contribute to the overall mission of the medical center by ensuring optimum patient safety and support during operative procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgery within the operating room.
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient management and coordination.
- Participate in hospital initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods.
