Job Summary
The Accountant II is responsible for performing a range of accounting tasks to support financial operations and ensure compliance with relevant standards. This role involves participating in monthly closings, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating reports that reflect the organization’s financial status.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee general ledger accounts and ensure entries are accurate and maintained.
- Contribute to the month-end closing process, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development of accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
