Job Summary
The Mechanical Process Engineer will be responsible for the development and optimization of engineering solutions focusing on compliance, risk management, and business processes. This role will also address IT effectiveness and sustainability issues, with a special emphasis on mechanical engineering aspects including piping and instrumentation diagrams, system descriptions, and equipment sizing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Create detailed system descriptions for mechanical processes.
- Compile mechanical equipment lists to ensure all necessary components are accounted for.
- Perform mechanical equipment sizing to meet project specifications and standards.
- Contribute to engineering solutions with a focus on sustainability and compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in process engineering.
- Strong understanding of risk management and compliance in engineering practices.
- Knowledge of business processes and IT effectiveness as related to engineering projects.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability considerations in mechanical design.
- Ability to work onsite in Aiken, South Carolina.
