Job Summary
The Hospitalist Nights position is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts, ensuring that patients receive attention and treatment in a timely manner. This role is crucial in managing patient care effectively and supporting the hospitalist team in various clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients overnight.
- Perform patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history collection.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
- Document patient interactions and treatment approaches accurately in medical records.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
