Job Summary
The role of the Systems Engineer is centered around the development and design of embedded systems, particularly door access devices, rather than engaging with traditional IT, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructures. This position requires a deep understanding of real-time operating systems like QNX and an innovative approach to system integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement systems focused on embedded applications.
- Work collaboratively with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
- Evaluate and enhance existing systems to improve performance and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations during the development process.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities to resolve issues effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with real-time or embedded operating systems, specifically QNX.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in system design.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
- Ability to work onsite in Severna Park, Maryland.
- Prior experience in a systems engineering role is preferred.
