Job description

Job Summary

The Behavior Technician plays a vital role in implementing behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a certified behavior analyst. This position is dedicated to assisting clients in achieving their behavioral and developmental goals through direct support and intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by the supervising behavior analyst.
  • Collect data on client progress and report on key metrics to track effectiveness.
  • Work closely with clients to promote positive behavior change and skill acquisition.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all individuals receiving services.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma; additional education in psychology or related fields is preferred.
  • Previous experience in behavior analysis or working with individuals with special needs is advantageous.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to client interaction.
  • Ability to follow procedures and adapt to changing situations effectively.
