Job Summary
The Geospatial Mapping Specialist is responsible for the creation, management, and analysis of geospatial data to support various projects and initiatives. This role involves utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) technology to provide actionable insights and visual representations of spatial data.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain geospatial datasets for analysis and visualization purposes.
- Conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Create detailed maps and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial information into project workflows.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the mapping process.
- Assist in training and guiding team members in geospatial technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, cartography, environmental science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Experience in data analysis and spatial modeling techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data visually and orally.
