Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver dedicated overnight inpatient care for our Cardiothoracic unit. The selected candidate will play a vital role in managing post-operative and medically intricate surgical patients in coordination with the attending medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient care for surgical patients, particularly in the Cardiothoracic department.
- Collaborate effectively with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery and during hospitalization.
- Deliver direct patient care, including evaluating medical complications and administering necessary treatments.
Qualifications
- Must possess a relevant advanced practice healthcare degree.
- Experience in surgical nursing or related clinical areas is preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work collaboratively with the medical team.
- A current license to practice in North Carolina as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
