Job Summary
This role is focused on delivering specialized palliative care services through consultations and managing both inpatient hospice patients and outpatient follow-ups. The physician will play a key role in supervising advanced practice providers, fellows, and medical students while actively engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide palliative care consultations for patients.
- Manage inpatient hospice care for patients.
- Conduct follow-ups with outpatient individuals requiring palliative support.
- Oversee and mentor advanced practice providers, fellows, and students.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care.
Qualifications
- Board certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at all Emory Healthcare locations.
- Commitment to scholarly pursuits and educational activities.
