Job Summary
The QC Chemist II plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of chemical products by performing various analytical testing procedures. This position is responsible for maintaining laboratory standards, validating processes, and executing experiments to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The chemist will contribute to the development and implementation of quality control processes and assist in project-based initiatives aimed at improving product quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality control analyses on raw materials and finished products using advanced analytical techniques.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Document and report test results, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development and optimization of analytical methods and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting efforts.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with good laboratory practices.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a quality control or laboratory role within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
- Possess a strong understanding of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and others.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, such as GMP and GLP, is highly desirable.
