Job Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, creating tailored treatment strategies, and overseeing the administration of psychotropic medications for patients at Springbrook Hospital. This role involves close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated, evidence-informed care while adhering to established clinical and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patient needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
- Manage the prescription and monitoring of psychotropic medications.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in PMHNP.
- Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
- Current PMHNP-BC certification.
- DEA registration and BLS certification are mandatory.
