Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. This position focuses on providing comprehensive mental health care to the geriatric population residing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The candidate must hold a valid Advance Practice Registered Nurse License in Ohio and have the skills necessary to assess patients and prescribe medication in collaboration with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of mental health needs among elderly patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment protocols in accordance with established guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
Qualifications
- Current Advance Practice Registered Nurse License in Ohio.
- Experience working with geriatric populations in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills in psychiatric care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
