Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist / OR Tech to join our team in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surgical teams by providing assistance before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by organizing instruments and equipment necessary for surgeries.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by providing support and ensuring the sterile environment is maintained.
- Handle and pass surgical instruments to physicians during operations.
- Prepare patients for surgery by verifying identities and cleaning the surgical area.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the facility post-procedure.
- Participate in patient care by monitoring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a surgical team and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
