Job Summary
The SCU RN (7A-7P) position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Special Care Unit during the day shift. The role requires close monitoring of patient progress, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and conditions throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and consistently.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Prior experience in a special care or critical care unit is an advantage.
